About Us and Our Miami Adventure

It started out as a simple visit...

Hello there! My name is Jim Champion. My wife Julia and I moved to the Miami area in 1998.

Originally from Idaho, moving to Miami was a big change for us.

From a small town with a population of 100 residents to a neighborhood with 200 people at your next door neighbor's BBQ!

Believe it or not, it's a change we have enjoyed from day one, but, we know how to find solitude when we need it.

On Travel and Adventure...

I often hear people say, "It's amazing what you find when you aren't looking."

I guess I'm from the old school. I believe it's even more amazing what you find when you are.

To set the record straight, Julia and I love Idaho and will always consider it "home". But, South Florida is definitely a great place to spend some time and you can't beat the climate!

Here's how we ended up in South Florida!

To make a long story, short, we came to Miami to visit our daughter Amber, who was attending the University of Miami. It was the middle of December, and it was warm (like summer in Idaho). I had never been warm in December. I didn't know it was possible.

So, we moved "South" the following spring!

We pride ourselves in being relatively quick learners.

Miami's diversity is amazing!

Between Miami, the Florida Everglades, the Florida Keys and the Dry Tortugas, we always have things to do and places to go!

Today, we spend our time exploring and enjoying South Florida. We continually enjoy Miami's many attractions, the everglades, photographing the islands and the beaches, diving, catching sunsets, and building our website!

Well, there you have it, that's it. That's all about us in a nutshell!
