The whole family will enjoy the zoo and all it has to offer.
You will see wildlife from all around the world. In addition, the culture education and free range exhibits make this zoo a must see for anyone coming to south Florida!
In our opinion, this is one of the best walks in Miami. We are annual pass holders and enjoy visiting the zoo on a regular basis!
With over 700 acres of zoo, open range exhibits and tons of shade, this is a paradise for those who love wildlife and enjoy the great outdoors.
If walking for hours on end isn't your cup of tea, 2 and 4 seat bicycles are available for rent.
There is also a tram that will transport you from one continents exhibits to the next! This is a great way to see the zoo in the shortest amount of time.
Be sure to visit all of the exhibits including the "Wings Over Asia Aviary". You will find over 300 endangered and exotic birds that call this open air aviary home.
Get on the same level with the giraffes and let them eat right out of your hand at the Samburu Giraffe Feeding Station!
Food and drinks are available for purchase. There are water fountains throughout the zoo.
Be sure to wear a hat and sunglasses. Grab your sunscreen, and be ready for some sub-tropical weather!
By the way, there are cooling fountains along the walkway. I'm sure they were designed for the kids, but we use them all the time!
If you are a fan of the natural world, don't miss the Miami Metro Zoo!
